Moving to Washington, DC and finding apartments can be fun and exciting. Oftentimes, a young person's first real job outside of college will land them in Washington, DC, either as a paid intern or working as a page or for a lobbyist. Whatever the reason, many people move to Washington, DC each year. Whether they are young or old, many of them would love to live in the top rated apartments in the area.
Park Connecticut
If you are looking for one of the top apartments in Washington, DC, look no further than Park Connecticut. As the name suggests, it is located on the northwest side of the city on Connecticut Avenue. Because this is one of the most prestigious addresses in town, you will have to pay a lot of money to live there. Even a small one bedroom, one bathroom apartment will cost approximately $2000 each month! Of course, with that rental price you can expect to get a lot of great amenities. The biggest one is that the rooftop deck offers stunning views of nearby Rock Creek Park, a place famous for its hiking and biking trails. The rooftop deck also features a pool and hot tub. This building, which is part of the trendy Forest Hills neighborhood, also has a fitness center and covered parking, the latter which is important in an area where street parking is not easy to come by. Another benefit of this building is that it is just a short walk to the Metro, DC's public transit system.
Flats At Dupont Circle
Another top building is the Flats at Dupont Circle. Obviously, this great building is located in the wonderful Dupont Circle area, which is popular with both young people and the gay and lesbian community. This building is even pricier that the last one mentioned, as even a studio apartment costs $2400. The building allows for pets and has garages to protect your car from the winter months. There is even a clubhouse where you can entertain friends, in addition to a pool, fitness center and lounge. The interiors of the units are phenomenal with updated features throughout, especially in the all important kitchen.
Loree Grand and Union Place
For those looking for a place in the NOMA neighborhood (short for North of Massachusetts Avenue), the best bet is the Loree Grand and Union Place. The building is named for area activist Loree Murray and is one of the nicest buildings in this area, if not all of DC. It is located near Capitol Hill and the business district, as well as Union Station. This building really goes all out in terms of services for its residents. They will take care of your pets for you during the day or if you are out of town, for example. This is the kind of place for people who are used to having others take care of them and treat them like they are on top of the world. All that great service comes at a price, however, as the rents for this building range from $1995 to $4270! For that reason, you will see many wealthy movers and shakers coming in and out of this building.
While of course there are much more affordable apartments in the city, this just gives you an idea of what you can expect from the top rated buildings in the DC area.
